Hello John:For some reason I associate your name with Kawasaki knowledge:-)I have a 1983 Yamaha Venture Royale project bike on which I have installed a 2005 VN1600 Classic gas tank and speedometer. Making the electonic, analogue, speedometer, and digital odometer, work, is going to require some technical knowledge that I am having trouble finding out. I also have the proper speed sensor. Solio Update - Only 3 Days off the grid?? Whaaa Happann???

Well, like my new years resolution not to drink Gin, my well intentioned experiment lasted all of 36 hours. What happened you ask?



I had plenty of sun and the Solio got plenty charged, but their seems to be some confusion on the phone's end (motorola Krz1). Frequently it would only charge for a few minutes and then act like it was not hooked up to a charger at all. At other times, it would fail to "eject" the Solio from its…

I take my phone off the grid (with the help of Solio)







I decided as part experiment, part "proof of concept" and part boredom to take my phone "off of the grid" and to

only power it via my aforementioned and reviewed Solio. It is a small move in the

right direction and will be interesting to see if this works on a small

scale.
